"Archie"

Here are some pictures of Archie's life, born three weeks before Kate, and extraordinary from day one. He won six specialty BOB's, four BOS, and literally countless JAM's and Best in Veteran Sweepstakes. He placed in his 6-9 month class at Potomac, before they were split by color, with 49 in the class, then came home and picked up points every day on the Eastern Washington circuit as a baby. At the National Specialty he was RWD at just 13 months old, and was also RWD and Best Bred By Exhibitor at Potomac. Junior Handlers could borrow him and he would behave perfectly, even with all the difficult patterns and testing needed to win Best Junior. Even the littlest of PeeWees could show him. He was steady as a rock, and made us proud by winning a Judge's Award of Merit at 12 years old, just six weeks before he died. His gentle nature is what made us love him most, and strive for that personality in all of our Labradors. So far, he is unique, but we will forever try for another just like him. We know we were lucky to share his life.
